gnv.directory is a locally run business directory for Gainesville and the rest of Alachua County: Gainesville, Alachua, Newberry, Jonesville, Archer, Micanopy, Hawthorne. Right now it lists 452 businesses across 10 categories, seeded from public business records and ranked by real customer review counts.

The rules are simple. Every legitimate local business gets a free listing whether they pay us or not. Owners can claim their listing free and correct anything. Nobody can pay to fake reviews or bury a competitor. The only thing for sale is Premium placement, and it's clearly labeled when you see it.

Why build this? Because searching "plumber gainesville" gets you national lead-reseller sites pretending to be local. This is the opposite: one county, real businesses, phone numbers you can actually call.
